Chapter 6 focuses on how trainings are to be initiated starting with mobilization and ending with freezing of a batch. The intermediate processes are screening and aptitude test. It details the mobilization process (including the planning, execution and the village saturation approach), screening, counselling and selection of candidates, freezing of a batch.

After completion of this chapter the participants will be able to understand the following processes:

• Mobilization process along with gram panchayat saturation model
• Explain and execute the screening, counselling and selection of candidates as laid out by DDU-GKY programme
• Manage  the start of the training and freezing of a batch as per laid out procedures
• Review and use the various standard forms described in the chapter
